Spurs vs Clippers, game 7....Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather, fight of the Century...Kentucky Derby...whatever. Instead the nation turns its collective eye toward opening day of the Craig, Alaska Little League baseball season. In the much anticipated first T-ball game the mighty Southeast Dental Center took on their arch rival Petro Marine for island wide bragging rights. It lived up to its billing with both teams battling to a one inning scoreless tie. Rookie all-stars Autumn and Cedar led the SEDC offensive onslaught each going 1 for 1, legging out infield singles and scoring one run each. On defense Autumn dazzled fans, parents and coaches with an amazing stab of a hard hit grounder to the middle infield and throw to first. No balls were hit Cedar's direction but she was able to do spins on her assigned "X" while still managing to point at the ball for every hitter. She also showed surprising speed on the base paths. SEDC's next opponent comes next Saturday. Tickets are limited. Check out flickr for more pictures of the action.
