2008 Brooks Ram

My ram from last fall is finished. It's still unclear how he will travel from his current position at an Anchorage taxidermy studio to our home in SE. I've never had an animal shoulder mounted before and I'm very pleased with how he turned out.

A Walk on the Beach

Here's Amy and I on a walk at the beach a couple weeks ago. As you can see, Amy has graduated to my outerwear.

Our House

Amelia

I don't think I've ever posted pics of our cat Amelia. This is her with her best friend, the Taco Bell dog (He says 'Ya, drop the chalupa' if you squeeze him).

Birds

A few recent pics of some of the local avian neighbors.

And One Small Carry-On

A ray of light in the airline industries reduced baggage policies is Alaska Airlines allowing three checked bags when flying within Alaska. Occasionally I have to fly to Juneau (Alaska's capital) for work. I take advantage of these trips by taking an empty cooler with me. The cooler gets filled at Costco before returning home. It's a pretty common tactic for folks here. On a recent trip however my cooler was 5 lbs over for the trip back. I got several knowing looks and a few "nice carry-on" as I boarded the plane with my 5 lb block of Tillamook cheese. (And yes, TSA makes you put cheese through the x-ray).

Sasquatch

Rumors abound on POW about Bigfoot being here. I'm making it one of my goals to find him. I've got a couple good leads already.
