Future Sheep Hunter

Autumn had to try out Dad's hunting boots a few days ago. It's going to be a while before she can walk a mile in these shoes, but I appreciate her eagerness. More pics of the future sheep hunter here.

I have A Cool Job #2 "Mountain Goats" cont.

This is a very large billy. The terrain doesn't look too bad until you check out the picture below.

That white dot in the center of the frame is the goat.

I Have A Cool Job #1 "Mountain Goats"

My job takes me to some awesome places getting to do some cool things. Last September I got the opportunity to participate in a goat capture near Ketchikan.
As you can see the goats are darted with the help of a helicopter. I know, I get to fly in a helicopter, sweet.

Another shot of the helicopter in action. I'[ve climbed enough mountains looking for animals to really appreciate a 5 minute helicopter ride to the top.

Here's a goat after we're done with it, all blinged out.

Collecting biological data from a captured goat.

Here's a shot of a couple goats in their natural habitat. Say, what do you think is the prevailing wind direction here?
