Congratulations Scotty & Emily

Congratulations to my brother Scotty and his new wife Emily on their recent marriage. Scotty says he's "found a keeper." It was a very fun non-traditional wedding. The groomsmen were announced like a basketball team starting line-up to the Chicago Bulls theme music. The groom and best man even chest-bumped. Attire for the guys was flip-flops, cargo shorts and a button up shirt worn untucked. Instead of a unity candle, they had a "bottle o' stuff" comprised of dirt from the softball field they met on and an important element from each of their lives. (I wonder if Gamakatsu fishing hooks have ever before been mentioned in a wedding ceremony?) While the wedding was pretty cool, the weekend highlight may have been the spectacular 6-4-3 all Bethune double play the night before in a co-ed league softball game. In case you missed it, I think they are still running it on ESPN's web-gems.

Little Buckaroos

I've been accused recently of turning this site into a baby blog. Not true. This blog is totally devoted to hunting. Here's some recent pics of deer to prove my point.

Our Latest New Arrival

Home decorating is about to take on a whole new dimension.

Catch of the Day

We've had a string of incredibly sunny days here in SE. I was able to take advantage of a few of them to get in a little fishing. First there was some float tube action with The Mad Fishicist for trout and then I hit the salt water for a variety of freezer fare, the highlight being a 25lb king salmon.
