Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Thanksgiving weekend we loaded up and headed for the hills in search of the perfect Christmas tree. Larry, Amy's step-dad spent part of the weekend with us so we had too much personnel to fit in the truck. So we took the Tercel, a Christmas tree haulin' machine if there ever was one. After much wandering around in the wet muskeg, we found just the right tree. Then after much lashing of ropes I realized I couldn't open the doors. Luckily everyone else was already inside. I slid in the window, Dukes of Hazard style. Upon our safe arrival at home (yep, those were some good knots), we all exited Dukes of Hazard style. A good red-neck start to the holiday season.

What a honey of a ride. When Aaron and I were looking for car #2 out her we looked for a Tercel sedan. We had a coupe in Anchorage and we LOVED it. The Toyota Tercel is just one of those cars. It's just a car. No frills. There are so few of those out there. So, so few. Cherish what you have, Steve...

Also, rad Christmas tree. You guys are awesome.

"I can't believe everybody had to go through the windows," snickers Josiah.

This Tercel is a peach for sure. Radio doesn't work, no windshield fluid spray, the windows are very hard to roll down, and there is visible moss and algae growing in the cracks. But it was cheap, had low miles and is reliable. Cherish it we will. Thanks for the comment.

That's awesome that Josiah reads my blog. I hope he comments more.
