Lucky 13

Today is me and Amy's wedding anniversary. We dined at a fancy restaurant in Anchorage a year ago and wondered what the next year would bring. We never would have guessed that it would be the most change we've experienced as a couple. A new job, a new city, new friends, a new house and a new member of Team Steve. It's been a good year, it's been a hard year. I'm a lucky man.

See You in August

The bucks are getting their pride back. Looking forward to matching wits with them in the high country in August and September. For now it's been fun to see them growing their new antlers and getting their sleek summer coats. Any day now we should start seeing a new crop of little spotted fawns.

Sheep Shape

Sheep season is just 2 1/2 months away. Being in shape is the best way to turn the odds in your favor in the sheep mountains. I've been hitting the gym hard for two months now. And when the big pack with the 65lb water jug comes out you know it is getting serious. Here I am with my training partner after a recent session with the big pack.

Happy Mother's Day

So this Mother's day thing is all pretty new to me. Yes, I know, I've had a mom my whole life but the magnitude of motherhood has largely escaped me. I think I may be starting to get it now. Even God, chose to send his greatest gift through a mom. So Mom, thank you for giving me life, and thank you Amy for giving my life new meaning.
