Boomshakalaka!

Without cable TV this is how I "watch" the Trail Blazers. I'll never forget the moment of disbelief when the score changed from 96-98 Rockets with 0.9 seconds left to 99-98 in Game 6 of the 1st round. It was a bummer to get thumped so bad in the 2nd round but overall it was a pretty exciting season, and no one will ever be able to take away Dame's 3 pointer from us Blazer fans. Most memorable highlight of the post season was madly texting back and forth with Scotty during game Game 4. I was on the road between Fairbanks and Anchorage. Scotty provided excellent play by play.

Cinco De Autumn!

It's been over a month but we can still celebrate that Autumn is cinco anos. Amy and I have come to the sudden realization that we are no longer raising a toddler, but a full on little girl. Happy Birthday Autumn. Ride like the wind. Check out Flickr for more astounding photos.

Cemetery Island Hike

It's about a 2.5 mile round trip from our front door to the bench overlook at the tip of cemetery Island. It's a favorite place for us to go for walks or a jog. It was a sunny day when we set out but cold. The kids were game and made it about 2 miles before we had to call mom with the heated truck for an emergency pick up. We live in a pretty beautiful place, especially when the sun makes an appearance.

The kids presented a good case for getting to sleep in the fort they had built a few weekends ago. They actually did fall asleep in there but eventually chose to move back to their beds.
