Future Sheep Hunter


Autumn had to try out Dad's hunting boots a few days ago. It's going to be a while before she can walk a mile in these shoes, but I appreciate her eagerness. More pics of the future sheep hunter here.

This is a very large billy. The terrain doesn't look too bad until you check out the picture below.

I Have A Cool Job #1 "Mountain Goats"

My job takes me to some awesome places getting to do some cool things. Last September I got the opportunity to participate in a goat capture near Ketchikan.
As you can see the goats are darted with the help of a helicopter. I know, I get to fly in a helicopter, sweet.

Another shot of the helicopter in action. I'[ve climbed enough mountains looking for animals to really appreciate a 5 minute helicopter ride to the top.

Bigfoot Update

Several months ago I wrote a bigfoot post about attempting to discover them on POW. Here's an update. I've deployed remote trail cams at multiple locations across the island. They've been good for some deer pictures and the occasional random hiker. But recently I caught this on film. It's my best proof yet. Far from conclusive, but the naysayers are going to have a hard time dealing with this. The search continues...
